About Jess

I’m Jessica, founder of Amanita Apothecary.

My relationship with plants deepened in the forests of the Pacific Northwest, where I learned to slow down, listen, and recognize the intelligence held in each leaf, root, and flower. The land taught me that healing is something we remember — something we return to through connection with nature.

After navigating my own health challenges, I began studying medicinal plants through Cornell University, immersing myself in plant chemistry, herbal tea formulation, and the creation of functional herbal drinks rooted in tradition. I care deeply about research, ingredient integrity, and understanding how plants support the body on a physiological level.

Today, my work continues at the intersection of herbalism, ritual, and lived relationship with the natural world. What began in my kitchen as small-batch herbal tea blends for sleep, hormonal balance, clarity, and nervous system support has grown into a practice devoted to helping others reconnect with their bodies and the intelligence of plants.

  • Ritual as a Way of Life

Wholeness is built in small moments. Tea is a pause, a practice, a return to yourself. Through simple rituals, we create space to slow down and listen.

  • Reciprocity with the Living World

Plants are teachers and allies. We approach herbalism as relationship. That means honoring the land, supporting ethical growers, and sourcing with care for every organic herbal tea we create. Herbalism begins with reciprocity.

  • Returning to Our Roots

We honor ancestral herbal wisdom while staying curious and evidence informed. The body is intelligent. Our blends are created from loose leaf tea to support regulation, resilience, and connection.

Ethical sourcing & sustainability

We believe the vitality of herbal tea and organic tea begins with the health of the ecosystems where plants are grown. That’s why we prioritize organic, wildcrafted, and ethically harvested herbs, working with growers and suppliers who share our commitment to regenerative agriculture and responsible land stewardship.

Our approach extends beyond ingredients. We use minimal, recyclable, and plastic-free packaging whenever possible, partner with local suppliers, and actively work to reduce waste throughout our production process. When you choose Amanita Apothecary, you’re supporting a small-batch herbal tea brand rooted in reciprocity, sustainability, and deep respect for the living world.
